I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Adult Education Development professional. In my practice, I specialize in complex trauma and relationship issues. I also provide learning support to therapists who are new to learning IFS (parts work). I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Education and an Honours Bachelor of Arts. I combine my clinical training with 16+ years of professional experience in education: teaching/counselling one-to-one, teaching post-secondary classes, working with at-risk youth, and both leading and developing award-winning adult programs for universities and non-profits in Canada and the United States.

I became a therapist because I wanted to work with learning and change at a deeper level. Every moment in this work is meaningful, and I am humbled by the resilience and strengths my clients bring to session (even when they do not yet recognize these in themselves). I enjoy supporting my clients to foster self-acceptance, and to live more comfortably and authentically in their internal and external worlds.

I completed my undergraduate studies at McMaster University and D’Youville University, and graduate studies at the University of Toronto and Yorkville University. My clinical practicum was completed in a trauma-focussed setting.

My training includes graduate coursework in Trauma-focussed approaches, Family/Couples approaches, CBT, DBT, Personality, Biopsychosocial, and Existential-Humanistic approaches. I have since continued to pursue advanced trainings in trauma such as Complex Trauma certification training, IFS - Internal Family Systems (parts work),and other integrated approaches such as Somatic IFS, EMDR-Resource Tapping, Polyvagal and Sensorimotor-based therapies as I explore new ways to understand and support my clients.
